 ⏹ Saiyaara (2025) Movie Review:

Saiyaara directed by Mohit Suri marks a significant return to the romantic genre in Bollywood offering a visually lush and emotionally resonant experience. Released on July 18, 2025, the film stars debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda whose performances have been lauded for their depth and sincerity. The narrative inspired by the 2004 Korean film A Moment to Remember delves into themes of love, memory and the challenges posed by early onset Alzheimer's disease.

Suri's direction brings a contemporary yet timeless feel to the film blending urban settings with intimate moments that capture the essence of a budding romance. The cinematography by Vikas Sivaraman enhances the storytelling using light and shadow to reflect the emotional landscape of the characters. The pacing, while deliberate allows the audience to immerse themselves in the evolving relationship between Krish and Vaani.

Ahaan Panday's portrayal of Krish Kapoor is both heartfelt and compelling capturing the vulnerability and determination of a young musician. Aneet Padda as Vaani Batra delivers a nuanced performance depicting the gradual onset of Alzheimer's with sensitivity and grace. Their chemistry is palpable adding authenticity to the romantic narrative.

The film's music composed by Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi and others is integral to its emotional impact. Tracks like Barbaad and the title song Saiyaara resonate deeply with lyrics by Irshad Kamil and Rishabh Kant and vocals by Arijit Singh and Jubin Nautiyal. The soundtrack complements the film's themes enhancing the storytelling without overshadowing it.
